Caistor Food Bank Referrals
Caistor Food Bank is a place of support and nourishment for those facing hardship in our community. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can lead to food insecurity, and we are here to provide emergency food parcels to registered clients in need. Whether you come to us through a professional referral or as a self-referral meeting our criteria, our dedicated team is committed to offering compassionate assistance and ensuring that no one in Caistor and the surrounding area goes hungry.
Things to be aware of:

Our services are for residents living within the West Lindsey District Council area. As there are other food banks with in West Lindsey so we tend to have clients within a 10 mile radius of Caistor.

A referral can be made to Caistor Food Bank by any referring professional for service users who have no money to buy food, (and, depending on donation supplies, basic toiletries and cleaning products).

A referral can be made to Caistor Food Bank by any referring professional for service users who are in a regular monthly deficit. (Parcel need is accessed at the time of registration dependent on size of the family.) Referrals could be due to on-going circumstances and/or a temporary issue or crisis.

A mandatory financial assessment will be carried out by the Caistor Food Bank registration volunteer.

Once a Food Bank client, should things change for the service user, Caistor Food Bank will advise the referring agency.

Caistor Food Bank has a Zero Tolerance policy regarding aggressive behaviour towards staff, volunteers and other service users.

Please note due to our risk assessment protocol and our ethos of “choice”, clients must pick up their own items. In extreme circumstances, Caistor Food Bank may consider local delivery.
